Artic Panda Monkeys Dodge Their Way to Victory

Cheers filled Calvo Field House last Thursday night as the 14 teams in the President’s Cup battled it out in dodgeball. After a long night of hard hits and quick catches, it was the Artic Panda Monkeys (APM) who took the final win.

The APM knocked the Bad News Barracudas into the loser’s bracket in the third round of the tournament, but the Barracudas fought their way back to take on the APM for the championship title. The Barracudas came out strong in the first game and took the win.

Despite their first loss, the APM rushed and dodged their way to victory in the second game to claim first place.

Marlijo Serineo, APM captain, said she was not discouraged after the first loss in the championship round.

“I was still confident that we could take it,” Serineo said. “I believed in my players.”

Serineo said the biggest factor of their win was good communication and playing smart.
