The University of Guam Women's Volleyball Team played their best match of the Guam Volleyball Federation season on Sunday in the "Jungle" on the Father Duenas Memorial School campus by beating Haggen 2-0 (25-22, 25-12).

In the first set, UOG fell behind early 6-1 but tied it at 7-7. They fell behind again and then tied it at 11-11. That was the story of the early and middle game of the match. UOG tied it one last time at 21-21 and then took their first lead of the match at 22-21. They finished off Haggen 25-22.

In the 2nd set, the Tritons dominated, never letting Haggen into the match. While UOG may not have been playing "perfect" volleyball, they did play hard. They kept the ball alive and allowed Haggen to make mistakes. The Tritons won 25-12 and the match 2-0.

UOG gains a bit of revenge in this match, as Haggen had defeated the Tritons 2-1 in the opening match of the season.

UOG's record goes to 5-3 in the league as they went 2-0 for the weekend, beating both Team Metgot and Haggen 2-0 in their matches.  The Tritons play next weekend three times with individual matches on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Friday's match is against La Femme is at 7:50 p.m. All matches are at the "Jungle" on the campus of Father Duenas Memorial School.
