UOG Men's Soccer Pounds Out Manned Hyundai Family FC 11-0 In GFA Cup
The University of Guam Men's Soccer Team won their opening match in the Bank of Guam,
Guam Football Association Cup on Thursday night 11-0 as the Hyundai Family FC could
only muster 8 players on the night at the GFA National Training Center.
UOG took about 10 minutes to get warmed up and to figure out the tightly packed Hyundai
defense, but once they did, the goals came often and in bunches.
UOG scored 6 goals in the first half and were scored by Jack Diambra (2), Joseph
Quan (2), Mike Topasna on a Penalty Kick, and Ben Weigand.
2nd Half goals for the Tritons were by Nate Mercado, John Raz, Jordan Rosario, Reniel
Relucio and Se Rah Lee.
UOG record is now 15-6-0 for 2016-17 academic year and will next play in the BOG GFA
Cup on Friday, May 12th at 9:00 p.m. at the GFA National Training Center. They will
play Bank of Guam Strykers, either the Masters or Division I version, depending on
who won their match.
