UOG Men’s Soccer Crushes The Crushers In Beach Playoffs
The University of Guam Men’s Soccer Team won on Saturday night in the Guam Football Association Landshark Beach League Playoff
Match by defeating the Crushers FC 12-3 at the GFA National Training Center “Beach”
Field.
UOG got off to a strong start by taking the lead in the first period 3-0. After the
second the period, UOG was up 8-1 and in total control of the match. After the final
15 minutes, the Tritons won the match 12-3.
UOG had three players score three goals each, Mike Topasna, John Raz and Ben Wiegnad
while Jacques Diambra scored two goals and Dominic Gadad added one goal.
UOG is now 3-3 overall for the Beach League and 1-1 in the playoff round which is
a double elimination tournament. The Tritons play again on Wednesday night at 7:00
p.m. at the GFA National Training Center "Beach" Field against the BOG Strikers who
lost to the Bobcat Rovers.
