UOG Senior Fine Arts major Neill Catangay explains to a crowd of representatives from
Coast 360, the University of Guam, and the local community that painting the bus stop
was a labor of love. Catangay was also the project lead on the Archbishop Flores Memorial
Loop in Tumon mural project completed in 2015 and funded by GovGuam.
University of Guam President Dr. Robert Underwood hugs a student from Price Elementary
School after presenting the newly painted bus stop.Representatives from the University of Guam, Coast 360 Federal Credit Union, and the
local community gathered on May 16, 2017 to unveil the newly painted bus stop located
right outside of the University’s main campus in Mangilao. UOG students, including
project lead and Senior Fine Arts major Neill Catangay, painted the bus stop, which
serves students in the surrounding area. Catangay designed and painted a mural on
the bus stop over two weeks in April and May. The Coast 360 Executive Team and Board
of Directors donated $1,000 to the University of Guam Endowment Foundation to go towards
the Fine Arts program as well.
