University of Guam Women's Soccer Team Drops 5-1 Match To D1 Quality Distributors FC In Futsal League
The University of Guam Women's Soccer Team lost a 5-1 match to Division I Quality Distributors FC in the Guam Football Association
Women's Futsal League on Sunday afternoon at the Dededo Sports Complex Gym.
The first half was a close affair as Quality Distributors scored early but then the
UOG defense tightened up and did not allow another goal during the first period. UOG
struggled most of the first half having any offense on the Quality's side of the court,
but in the last minute of half, the Lady Tritons were awarded a penalty kick and UOG
scored as the timer went off to end the first period.
The 2nd half started poorly for the Tritons, as Quality scored three early goals and
while UOG was shut out for the 2nd half, they did grow more comfortable with the game
style and had more offensive opportunities. Quality closed out the scoring later in
the 2nd half with their last goal to make the final score 5-1.
UOG falls to 1-2 on the season so far and will play again next Sunday against the
BOG Strykers at 3:00 p.m. at the Dededo Athletic Complex.
