The University of Guam on Monday, June 26 named Michael Rabago as Head Women’s Volleyball
Coach. Rabago is a Physical Education teacher and the Athletic Director at Inarajan
Middle School while also serving the Air National Guard as a Technical Sergeant.
Mr. Rabago also serves Guam as the Head Coach for the Guam National Men’s Volleyball
Team since 2014 while also coaching the Notre Dame High School Boys and Girls Volleyball
Teams as Head Coach as well. He won two Guam high school volleyball titles as the
Head Boys Volleyball Coach at Southern High School while he coached there from 1999
to 2009.
Mike has played on the Men’s National Volleyball Team since 1998 and has represented
the island at several international competitions to include the Micronesian Games,
South Pacific Games and East Asian Olympic Qualifiers. He was the assistant coach
for the Guam Women’s National Volleyball Team in 2014.
He has reached Level II status as a FIVB Coach and finished with two degrees from
the University of Guam, a Bachelor’s of Arts Degree in Health, Physical Education,
Recreation and Dance for K-12 and a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. He is
currently working on a Doctorate of Education from Argosy University in Hawaii.
Mr. Rabago is also involved with the Guam Volleyball Federation and is in charge of
their indoor programs.
His contract with UOG starts on August 1, 2017 and he will have open tryouts for the
varsity women’s team during the first week of classes at UOG, August 16-17.
