Residents should consider a few things before moving-in to the Residence Halls:
the space in your room may be limited if you are having a roommate.
if you are flying to Guam, check the luggage weight and size limits with your airline
don't bring valuable or irreplaceable personal items unless absolutely necessary
anything shipped should be labeled to yourself with first and last name, to be received on
or after check-in date
you may have to carry your items up stairs (there are no elevators)
do not bring prohibited items (see below)
some items you may want to wait to purchase until you arrive on Guam (see below),
major stores include Kmart, Home Depot, Micronesia Mall, Guam Premier Outlets (GPO),
and Agana Shopping Center.
Things You May Want to Bring with You
cash, debit card, and checkbook
personal ID and passport
cell phone or phone card
camera
clothes (casual, swimwear, etc.) *note that Guam is hot & humid year-round
insurance card/healthcare information
medications
bedding (pillow, sheets and mattress cover for twin-size bed) *this is not provided
when you check-in
laptop computer
personal hygiene products (toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, deodorant, etc.)
