TECH FEST

All criteria listed below must be followed upon submitting your design entry; failure to abide with our guidelines may be subject to disqualification. Should you have any questions, please email us at techfest@uog.edu 

1. Depict the theme "Tech's New Normal," please refer to the About section to learn more about the theme.

2. Design must include the words "Tech Fest" AND/OR "Tech's New Normal". 

3. Design will appear on the front of a solid-color shirt.
   

4. Design must be appropriate for the general public and should not tarnish the image of the University of Guam (UOG).

5. Design must be wholly original, any plagiarized design will be subject to disqualification. By submitting a design, you are guaranteeing that you hold original rights to everything in it, that it may be printed on distributed t-shirts, and that it does not contain any copyright material.
   

6. Do not use any UOG logos. 

7. Entries are to be submitted by an individual.
   

8. Post your entry on Instagram:

   • Use the hashtags #oittechfest2021 and #EducateInnovateConnect

   • Tag us @uog_it
     

9. Use 1-2 UOG branded colors listed below. Design will be printed in up to two solid colors. Gradients and transparencies cannot be incorporated.

1. Entries should include the original file, a vector-based EPS file, a high resolution JPEG or PDF file.

   • Prefered file types:  .eps, .svg, .ai, .psd

   • If you are unable to provide the file types above, high resolution .jpeg, .png, or .pdf will suffice

2. Deadline to submit your design will be on April 17, 2021, 11:59 p.m. (CHST+10), if entry passes the deadline, it will not be accepted.

There will be two rounds of voting:

1. Round 1: The Tech Fest Committee will select the final winner (1st place)

2. Round 2: The runner-up finalist (2nd place) will be decided by the community with the most votes on a poll that we will administer online.

Designs will be judged on the following criteria:

• Concept, originality, creavity, and appearance

• Captures the theme

• Completeness of design and readiness for printing

• Feasibility of reproduction

• Adherence to design and submission rules and guidelines

• We will announce the winners on our Instagram and will notify the winners via email (from techfest@uog.edu) on April 23, 2021.

1. To release the rights to your design to UOG/OIT for the use of the Tech Fest 2021 t-shirt and other promotional items, including, but not limited to: the UOG website, social media and marketing materials.

2. That UOG/OIT reserves the right to make adjustments to the winning designs.

3. To abide by all contest rules, agreements and guidelines.
