Applications must include a non-refundable processing fee of $52 and a non-refundable registration fee of $300 (applicable to enrollment) before the Certificate of Eligibility Form I-20 AB is issued to the student.
Tuition and fees are subject to change upon the approval of the University of Guam Board of Regents.
Students should make their own arrangements for housing, food, and transportation. Apartments, stores, and restaurants are available within walking distance of the campus of the University of
Students who are accepted into the program will be mailed a Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20). To apply for a student visa, students must present this form to a U.S. Consulate in their home country. Student visas will be issued for the ELI program, not for the University of Guam. Admission to the English Language Institute does not constitute admission to any degree program at the University of Guam.
The Medical History Report Form must be completed and returned to ELI before a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20) will be issued. Although a Health Center is available on campus for minor student health problems, students are strongly advised to buy health insurance to cover medical expenses while they are in the United States.
The total cost of studying at the English Language Institute and living on Guam for a 1-year period may exceed $20,000. A statement or letter verifying the availability of funds from a bank, employer, or supporting agency MUST be submitted before a Certificate of Eligibility (I-20) can be issued.
