PRESS RELEASE: Guam Public Health Laboratory Tests Four Surveillance Cases; All Cleared for COVID-19

The Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) continues to work with local and federal partners to address the threat of the virus that causes COVID-19. Currently, there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Guam. Guam continues to assess the situation as it evolves. With any change in status, anticipate timely notification.
As of 4 p.m. today, March 13, 2020, the DPHSS Guam Public Health Laboratory in Tamuning tested a total of four surveillance cases for COVID-19. The fourth sample was received and also tested on Friday. All four samples tested negative for SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes the COVID-19 illness.
