Message from Vice Provost for Academic Excellence on Alternate Grading Option
Thank you for joining us this Fanuchånan semester. We strive to remain the natural choice for your education, even during this global pandemic. We are proud to say that our University's response has been as supportive, thoughtful, and safety-conscious as any other we have seen.
For each undergraduate course completed, students will have the option of replacing the letter grade earned with an alternative grade that will not affect GPA calculations.
The alternate grades available to undergraduates are as follows:
Deadlines correspond to the posted deadlines for withdrawal. If the University modifies withdrawal deadlines due to changing circumstances, the deadlines for the alternate grading option will also be adjusted.
If the request is submitted during the voluntary withdrawal period, by October 7, 2020, the request will also be treated as voluntary, and not require additional signatures.
If the request is submitted during the petition to withdraw period, December 11, 2020, the consent of the instructor and your advisor are also required. Requests may not be submitted after the last day of classes.
Attached to this message is the Request for Alternate Grade form. You must complete one form for each course. If you have trouble finding an advisor, please contact the Triton Advising Center at tac@triton.uog.edu.
