Please see the attached Joint Information Center (JIC) Release No. 1 regarding Super Typhoon Bavi.

As of 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, Guam entered Condition of Readiness (COR) 2.

Super Typhoon Bavi continues to strengthen with maximum sustained winds of 165 mph. Tropical storm-force winds are expected to begin Sunday evening, followed by destructive typhoon-force winds early Monday.

At COR 2, the Government of Guam, with the exception of essential services, is not operational and will remain closed until COR 4 is announced.

The UOG campus will be closed, and all classes, activities, and events will be cancelled or rescheduled.

MarCom will assist in getting the word out about your event cancellation / rescheduling announcements. UOG departments and organizations can send information to marcom@triton.uog.edu and/or tag the official UOG Instagram account (@uog_tritons) in posts.
