Please see the attached Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense (GHS/OCD) Public Advisory No. 5 regarding Super Typhoon Bavi.
Guam remains in Condition of Readiness (COR) 3 as Bavi has rapidly intensified into a Category 5 Super Typhoon, with maximum sustained winds of 160 mph. A Typhoon Watch, Flood Watch, and Coastal Flood Watch remain in effect for Guam.
The storm is expected to bring 12 to 20 inches of rain, increasing the risk of flash flooding, along with dangerous coastal conditions, high surf, and strong winds beginning Sunday evening.
Residents are encouraged to complete storm preparations while weather conditions remain favorable.
