Triton Athletics
For the first time in more than 16 years, the University of Guam is proud to relaunch
Triton Athletics.
UOG has a strong history of stellar athletes who perform both in the classroom and
on the field/court. With the resurgence of organized sports, the University of Guam
is able to provide a holistic experience and garner camaraderie and pride across the
campus.

The University of Guam Triton Athletics and Field House Department awarded Gage Johnson Scholarships to three standout basketball players on April 16. Honoring UOG Athletic Hall of Fame member Gage Johnson, the scholarships support both men's and women's basketball athletes. Recipients include Marie Duenas and Kai Quidachy for women's basketball, and Tristan Valdes for the men's team. Johnson, a 1967-68 UOG basketball star, donated $2,000 through the UOG Endowment Foundation.
Team Austability secured the #1 seed in the Triton Men's Basketball League playoffs with an 87-72 victory over the KFC Bombers, while the MicroFriends edged Fairzesh 100-92 to force a key matchup for the #2 seed. Jose Ignacio led the MicroFriends with 28 points, and Joe Blas powered Austability with 22. The final games of the regular season on April 16 will finalize playoff positions before postseason action begins on April 19. The UOG Tritons ended their regular season winless with a 111-91 loss to top-seeded Team Austability, while the KFC Bombers secured the #2 playoff seed by defeating the MicroFriends 100-80. Team Austability, powered by Joe Blas's 33 points, dominated early, and Daniel Salas led a strong late surge for the Tritons.
The University of Guam Tritons suffered a tough loss to MicroFriends after a sluggish start, falling 76-62 in the Triton Men's Basketball League. Despite a strong fourth-quarter push, the Tritons couldn't close the gap. Meanwhile, the KFC Bombers dominated Fairzesh 93-78, thanks to a powerful second-half performance. It was a Super Sunday on April 6 in the Lady Triton Volleyball League with three matches where the Lady Tritons lost to Legacy, while the Rogues and Au Mana Secured victories in the league.
