Local First! Guam will unveil Guam’s first one-stop online community directory that will connect people searching for authentic Made-on-Guam products and services with select locally-owned, small independent businesses and government and non-profit resources.
The directory will be launched during a press conference at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 29, at the University of Guam, Jesus and Eugenia Leon Guerrero School of Business and Public Administration building, IT&E Lecture Hall, Room 131. Attendees are also invited to visit the Local First! Guam member-businesses for sampling and tasting in the Atrium.
Local First! Guam is a local non-profit organization with a comprehensive initiative to expand on the initial efforts of the Think. Support. Buy Local Guam marketing and education campaign. The campaign strives to help sustain the local economy of Guam through sponsorships, grants, and community members. The campaign was started in 2011 by the UOG Pacific Center for Economic Initiatives.
