UOG Names Jonathan Triplett Director of Residence Halls
The University of Guam has named Jonathan Triplett its new Director of Residence Halls. Triplett is a graduate of Oklahoma City University where he earned both his Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science in 2002 and a Masters in Education two years later.
Most recently, Triplett served as the Director of Student Activities and Student Government Association Advisor at the University of Tulsa in Oklahoma, organizing wellness programs, outdoor adventure events, and other co-curricular programs.
“Mr. Triplett comes from a well-established background in education, diversity, and co-curricular programming,” said Senior Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Anita Borja Enriquez. “We’re very excited to see what improvements he’ll bring to our residence halls and what positive impacts he’ll have on our students.”
Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success Dr. Michael Gunn said he’s looking forward to collaborating with Triplett on student-success centered activities and helping bridge the gap between student life and academics.
“Mr. Triplett is a great asset to the University,” Gunn said. “I see a lot of potential where we can help students have a productive and enjoyable academic journey and campus life.”
“Education is not just inside the classroom,” Triplett added. “It’s outside the classroom as well. I want to make the residence halls a living and learning community. This is where the students live, and this is their home. We want to give them an excellent experience in the residence halls and the University of Guam in general.”
