COLL
The Center for Online Learning (COLL) specializes in the academic work of online teaching and learning. Each semester, nearly 100 classes use Moodle, a Learning Management System, to deliver online content and engagement activities. The Center for Online Learning supports students, staff, and faculty as they navigate digital learning spaces and works to identify and diminish barriers to digital access.
The University of Guam currently offers six different ways to learn, or course modalities: Face-to-Face (F2F), Hybrid (HYB), HYFlex (HYFX), Online Asynchronous (O-ASY), Online Synchronous (O-SYN), and Online Hybrid (O-HYB).
To keep up with the growing student demand for online learning options, the University of Guam has a 100-hour online teacher certification program, I Meyeng UOG-Certified Online Teacher. As of 2024, 528 completion certificates have been awarded to 181 Faculty and 31 students and staff in the various trainings of this program. Contact us at moodlehelp@triton.uog.edu or (671) 735-2620. In-person support is also available by visiting the COLL Monday-Friday 8am-5pm, House #6, Dean's Circle (Alstrom Drive).
