Fañomnåkan 2020 Commencement Ceremony
Livestreamed on Facebook and the UOG website at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 18, 2020
The University of Guam will hold a virtual Commencement Ceremony for its Fañomnåkan 2020 semester at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 18. The event will be livestreamed on Facebook and the UOG website. All Fañomnåkan graduates will also be welcome to walk in any future commencement ceremony after the public health emergency has ended.
“Commencement is an important tradition in the lives of our college graduates. It represents the culmination of their hard work to earn their degrees and the beginning of the next chapter in their lives,” said UOG President Thomas W. Krise. “Despite the circumstances caused by the coronavirus, proceeding with a virtual commencement ceremony allows us to honor the accomplishments and perseverance of our students.”
The ceremony will be streamed live on the official UOG Facebook page.
Diplomas are expected to be mailed out starting June 4.
Students may pick up diploma covers at the UOG Admissions and Records Office starting Monday, May 18, 7:30am to 12 noon if you want to incorporate them into your photos and videos.
Pickup is by appointment only by emailing mslg@triton.uog.edu or calling (671) 735-2213. If covers are not picked up by Tuesday, May 26, 2020. they will be mailed.
